  1. PRE-FORMATION
  1. Several moves were made by different groups of CHS alumni worldwide to form alumni association in the 80s and 90s.
  • FORMATION

This move came to fruition on 12th August, 2007 where there was a much larger presence of members at the residence of Mrs. Kemi Ogunlewe in Ogudu, Lagos where the need for an effective Association was ratified by those present.

At the said Meeting the followings were concluded:

(i) Alhaji Yusuf Olabode Abari was appointed to take charge as Secretary;

(ii)     A Bank Account was to be opened

(iii)    Three (3) Signatories to the Bank Account were named as Messrs Oyeniyi Olugboyega, Oyesiku, Adegbemi Onakoya and Olabode Yusuf Abari.

  • POST FORMATION

        The First, publicized meeting, possibly to be referred to as the Inaugural Meeting took place as:

        Date:           17th February, 2008

        Venue:        Mrs. Bose Ayeni Oni’s place, Ibadan.

 .      At this Meeting, the following members were elected as Executive Officers of the Association:

        (i)      President     — Mr. Oyeniyi Oyesiku

        (ii)     Vice President – Mrs. Bose Ayeni Oni

        (iii)    General Secretary – Alhaji Yusuf Abari

        (iv)    Asst. Secretary – Mrs. Funmilayo Elemide Akinyokun

        (v)     Treasurer    — Mrs. Kemi Johnson Ogunlewe

(vi)    Financial Secretary – Dcns. Ebun Akinkuotu Alabi

        (vii)   Social Secretary – Mr Jawi Dipo Ola

To achieve success, some committees were created to work for the development of CHS; and these include:

  • EXECUTED PROJECTS
  1. Renovation of the abandoned 8-room toilet was carried out and completed.
  • Provision of Water System: Pumping machine was installed in support of the Deep Well provided by the U.S.A. Chapter; Burglary Proof was also constructed to protect the pumping machine.
  • Power Generating Set was made available for the use of the Deep Well.
  • Purchase of Computer Sets for the school.
  • Repairs of 250 damaged school chairs and 220 desks.
  • Construction of a 4-room pit toilet was embarked upon; it was however not concluded.
  • Renovation of Administrative Block, ITC and Library
  • Construction of toilet for Principal’s Office and Office of Secretary to the Principal.
