Welcome Address of the
CHSAA Global President.

Dear members of Christ’s High School Ibadan Alumni Association (CHSAA), on behalf of the Board of Trustees, the Grand Council and Executive Committee, I welcome us all to this website of our Alumni Association. The Association has grown from strength to strength since its inception through the sacrifices of our founding members. These gallant men and women have toiled day and night to bring the Alumni Association to an enviable position among her peers in Nigeria and have consequently uplifted the status of our alma mater making it the best sought secondary school in Oluyole Local Government and in Oyo State generally. These efforts are evident in the various projects executed in the past years in the school and the human capacity building embarked upon through our Excellence and Scholarship Board over the years
As we prepare for the 60th anniversary celebration of the school in February, 2026, it is my prayer that we shall continue to build upon the legacies of our past leaders in the Association. This celebration is a landmark in the history of the Association and we hope it will bring as many Alumni, home and abroad, together for a reunion. I therefore solicit your generous donations to enable us have a wonderful and meaningful celebration in February next year.
I hereby call on different Graduating Sets that are yet to come together to start mobilizing their members for the development of our alma mater. Nevertheless, the great contributions of the 1974, 1979/80, 1981, 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1986 Sets cannot be over emphasized. Our Alumni Associations in diaspora, the US/Canada and UK/Europe Chapters have contributed immensely to developmental projects in the School. We are very grateful.
Once again, I welcome you to this wonderful family of achievers and pray that we will all partake in the growth and development of our alma mater. Thank you
Prof. Abiodun Ayodele,
President, CHSAA.
A Brief History Of the School
Christ’s High School, Ibadan was founded by late Mrs. Tanimowo O. Ogunlesi, fondly called Mummy, in February 1966 as the secondary school offshoot of her primary school, Children’s Home School, Molete, Ibadan. The school has produced many highly placed and respectable individuals in positions of authority within and outside Nigeria.
